Have you ever met someone for the first time and became instant friends? Like you’ve known each other your entire life? That is how I feel with Maddie & Ryan! I instantly connected with them & we laughed their entire engagement session. But once you get to know them you can totally understand why. These two are some of the most selfless people that I have ever met & SO MUCH FUN to be around. I don’t ever think I could ever thank these two enough for having me be apart of their wedding journey. They started of my 2019 wedding season off in the best way!
At first Ryan was totally against having a first look. He wanted the traditional route, watching Maddie walk down the aisle & of course, I totally respected that decision. But to be completely honest, I was a little worried! For winter weddings the sun sets very early in the day. Without a first look we would to have to either 1. have a very early ceremony time or 2. risk not having beautiful light in the bride & groom photos. As you all know, those are my favorite and in my opinion, the MOST important part of your wedding day when it comes to photos.
After we shot their engagement session Ryan told me he had something to tell me. He said he decided to have a first look! BUT he said, ” I want it to be in the chapel with Maddie walking down the aisle toward me like she would during the ceremony.” I could have fallen over right then and there! I was so happy to hear this and so impressed with his thoughtfulness & creativity! I am PRO first looks ALL. THE. WAY. for so many reasons & I was so incredibly thankful that Ryan made this decision. Their wedding gallery is packed full with incredible bride and groom portraits at The Farmhouse that we otherwise, would not have been able to get! (GO RYAN!! We love you for it!)
This wedding day was beautiful beginning to end. Touches of blues, navy, pinks & everything classic! Ryan’s tux was one of my absolute favorites! I loved the navy with black. It was perfect & Maddie…she was an absolute show stopper in her two piece, satin BHLDN dress! She looked like a ballerina & you should have seen these two on the dance floor! Oh my goodness! I was genuinely impressed. Ryan led Maddie with such grace & I had chills the entire night watching them. Their reception was an incredible dance party & we ended to night with a sparkler exit into a classic Rolls Royce. I loved everything about this winter wedding!
ENJOY!
